Gulf Structural Steel L.L.C is a part of Muscat Overseas Group which was established in 1974, a group of companies which has been in the forefront, since the beginning of the renaissance period of the Sultanate of Oman. It has grown to be one of the front runner among the leading business organizations in the Sultanate of Oman.
The group is jointly owned by its Chairman His Excellency Sheikh Mustahail Bin Ahmed Al Mashani, who is State adviser to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. The day to day activities of the group are looked after by his son His Excellency Sheikh Salim bin Mustahail Al Mashani who is the vice Chairman of the Company and also act as advisor at the Diwan of Royal Court.
The Group has major real estate ownership, significant investment in banking, insurance, service and manufacturing sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. It also has joint ventures in South Africa , Tanzania , Botswana , Mozambique , Angola and Dubai ( UAE ) and currently pursuing JV opportunities in other countries.
Gulf Structural Steel LLC “GSS” was formed in 2004 and started the Production in April 2005. The company is ISO-9001-2008 certified by BUREAU VERITAS and accredited by UKAS and with many Government & Public Authorities like PDO, MOG, MOD, ROP, Royal Court Affairs (Diwan), Oman Tender Board, Muscat Regional Municipalities etc., since then the company has grown substantially and remains a profitable venture. The Company is financially strong and growing steadily. Day to day activities is managed by well qualified and experienced professionals.
Our activity involves Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Sand Blasting, Single/Multi-coat Painting, Erection and Project Management of Structural Steel Works for Industrial Buildings, Oil & Gas Pipe Racks, Multi-level Platforms, Warehouses, Offices / Showrooms /Service Center Buildings and Multi-storey High-rise Buildings. Our monthly capacity is 1000 MT depending on nature of works ensuring the efficiency, quality and economy hence our focus is on projects involving medium to heavy works from simple beam and column jobs to complex truss systems. We engage our own Cranes and Skilled Crew and Site Supervisors/Engineers for Erection Works.
GSS Head Office is located at Al Ghubrah in Muscat, the Capital City of Oman. Our In-house Detailing Department uses the latest version of Modeling. By utilizing the Modeling software, GSS is able to catch and eliminate most fit-up problems during the detailing phase of the job, long before any steel shows up on the jobsite.
Procurement activity is implemented efficiently in Head office by professional staff to minimize and control the cost of the project.
The factory is located at Road No.6 in Nizwa Industrial Estate, Oman. The Factory is in operation since April 2005 and successfully doubled the capacity in November 2008.
The Fabrication Shop has 2-production lines fully equipped with Cranes and all required fabrication machineries and equipment. There are separate Buildings for Shot Blasting and Painting Shop with airless spray machines. All the raw materials are stored as per Supplier specifications. There is separate area designated for finished goods.

The HSE Policy is the responsibility of the Quality & HSE Department in GSS and shall be approved/released by the General Manager.
The Policy information and specific instructions are distributed either via open communication or via described organizational communication flow outlined in the company QMS & displayed at all important locations in the Plant.
The Plant Superintendent and the Quality Manager will administer the policy on day to day basis and will incorporate the requirement of the policy into the activities of their operations ensuring the Health, Safety & Environment of the workmen, assessing the risk & enforcing appropriate preventive control measures to avoid the probable incidents and injuries.
The GSS HSE Policy will be reviewed on a continual basis by the Plant Superintendent/Quality Manager and in the event of an incident, will be referred to the General Manager, to ensure that it remains relevant to the company’s activities and is up to date.
The Quality Manager shall ensure that the GSS HSE Policy must be given priority in the following scenarios:Briefed to all employees during induction orientation. Contractors working or Visitors in GSS Offices or other GSS locations, Communicated to all levels & understood by all employees particularly staff working at shop floor.
